Hello! I’m JP, a Norwegian who has been captivated by the beauty and culture of Vietnam since I first arrived in 2001. My journey began with a local tour guide named Andy, who introduced me to the wonders of this vibrant country. It’s incredible to think that Andy is still guiding in Vietnam today, showcasing the rich heritage and stunning landscapes to visitors from around the world.

Becoming a Tour Leader

Over the years, my passion for travel and exploration led me to become a tour leader, focusing on Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand. I now lead groups through these beautiful countries, sharing experiences and insights that only come with years of exploration. Each trip offers a unique opportunity to connect with the local culture, try delicious cuisine, and meet fascinating people.

High Season Adventures

During the high season, the demand for tours is at its peak. I find myself leading groups most of the time, navigating the bustling streets of cities like Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and exploring the serene landscapes of rural Vietnam. Each tour is meticulously planned to ensure that participants experience the best of what these countries have to offer.

Despite the busy schedule, I thrive on the energy of guiding groups through iconic sites such as the Cu Chi Tunnels, the Mekong Delta, and the ancient town of Hoi An. The joy of witnessing travelers’ reactions as they discover new cultures and traditions is what makes this work so fulfilling.

Low Season Opportunities

While the high season is bustling with activity, the low season presents a different landscape. It’s a time when I can embark on personal adventures and explore areas that may be less frequented by tourists. I look forward to longer trips during this time, allowing me to delve deeper into the heart of Vietnam and its neighboring countries.
