Getting picked up at your hotel at 7.30 AM, the morning drive on a private car will take you southward through the farmland of the Red River Delta to Ninh Binh province. On arrival at Thung Nang boat operation place. We will embark on 1,5-hour sampan boat-ride, rowed by a villager. The ride is on a small river which follows out from the towering limestone cliffs. At the beginning, sitting on the boat, you will enjoy watching the rural daily life with houses and gardens at the riversides. This is very peaceful and rustic. Not long after, you will reach the karst landscape with many vertical sides and covered by much green vegetation. Thung Nang belongs to the UNESCO’S Trang An Cultural and Natural Heritage, but it is the most less-tourist destination in the area thanks to its later discovery. The row is a bit shorter than other places but share the same feature of karst scenic landscape. After rowing through a small cave, the rower will take you back to the dock and then we will go to a local restaurant nearby for a Vietnamese lunch.
